Senior Section
There are two different types of senior section for young women aged 14 to 26 years and the good news is you can do both!
Young Leaders
We have dozens of young leaders helping with groups across Blatchington, Hangleton, Mile Oak and Hove. Young Leader are aged between 14-18 years and they regularly volunteer with a Guide, Brownie or Rainbow groups.
There is a qualification for young leaders aged 14-16. You can find more information on the Girlguiding website.
And then a qualification for young leaders aged 16-18, once they've completed this qualification and turned 18 the young leaders become fully fledged adult leaders automatically.
Volunteering as a young leader looks great on your CV or UCAS form and is fantastic experience if you're considering a career in management, teaching, youth work, sport, music, anything really!
Rangers
We are very proud to have five Ranger groups in Hove. The groups are for young women aged 14 to 26 years old. Rangers participate in the Look Wider programme. They take part in loads of different activities including camps and trips abroad.
