On 7th March 2,600 girls and leaders from East Sussex joined together to mark Girlguiding UK’s Centenary World Thinking Day with a high energy celebration at The Brighton Centre.
The girls and young women at the event performed and watched an amazing concert at the Brighton Centre. The Hove rainbows, brownies, guides and leaders put on a display of Samba dancing. The show culminated in an amazing finale which encapsulated the Girlguiding aim of empowering women. Young girls were joined by the Sugar’d Babes and performed to ‘Here Come the Girls’ and had an explosive finish with fireworks.
The Sussex East Brighton Centre event marks one of the most significant dates in the guiding calendar. World Thinking Day is an opportunity for the ten million Guides and Girl Scouts in 145 countries around the world to think about the diversity of the worldwide membership and show appreciation for each other’s lives.
