In January brownies groups from Hove took part in a residential centenary event especially for brownies and their Leaders - Funtenary!
The weekend was a marvellous treat that the brownies will remember for the rest of their lives. The top activity was the swimming pool with all its slides, flumes and rapids, but they also enjoyed the disco on the first evening, fairground rides and team sports in the sunshine on Sunday morning.
Several girls met Liz Burnley the Chief Guide and one received a birthday gift from Cindy Centipede, the holiday mascot.
They arrived very excited and left wishing they could stay another day, or even better come back in a couple of week's time!
To quote some of the girls:
Matilda said: "It was really, really fun."
Eleanor said: "The swimming pool was really cool."
Daisy said "The Hannah Montana show was wicked."
Amy said: "I really, really liked the discos, I thought they were groovy."
Nuala said: "It was cool."
Nina said: "It was great fun and we got to do a lot of things."
