Girlguiding Hove is made up of over 600 rainbows, brownies, guides and ranger groups and dozens of volunteer leaders who come together to have fun and make friends across Hove, Portslade and Mile Oak. If you'd like your daughter to join contact us, or volunteer your time.
Rainbows
Ages 5-7
Rainbow groups take part in games and activities as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw. Everything a rainbow does helps her to develop and to think for herself, in a safe girl-only environment. Any girl aged five to seven can be a rainbow. Brownies
Ages 7-10
There are thirteen brownies groups in Hove, with over 200 brownies aged seven to ten years old. Brownie groups take past in games, challenges and activities, usually ones that the brownies have suggested themselves. Brownies come together in little groups known as sixes and work through a programme known as the Brownie Adventure. Find out more about brownies groups in Hove. Guides
Ages 10-14
Being a guide is all about learning new skills, making your own decisions and having fun. Any girl aged between ten and fourteen can join a girl guide.group. Guiding in Hove provides a safe environment to explore new possibilities and achieve personal goals while making friends and having adventures. Senior Section
Ages 14-26
The senior section is for anyone aged between fourteen and twenty six. In the senior section, young women participate in a fun and flexible programme known as Look Wider. The programme is also linked to a variety of recognised qualifications or awards, both within and outside guiding. We are proud to have 5 senior section groups in Hove, read more.
